Great turnout for the first night of the Waynflete Book Bash at Print: A Bookstore on Congress Street.

Friday, December 1 (First Friday Art Walk)
6:00 p.m.
Poetry Out Loud Readings
Lend your ears to Upper School Poetry Out Loud students as they don black berets and recite their poems with fearless wit and candor.

Sunday, December 3
2:00–4:00 p.m.
Discussion & Book Signing, “Big Nate” writer/illustrator Lincoln Peirce
Make a special trip into town with the kids on Sunday! Lincoln Peirce will sign his “Big Nate” books and discuss his writing approach with fans young and old.

Shop for books between November 30 and December 4 at Print: A Bookstore in Portland’s East End and support the Waynflete library! Print will donate 20 percent of sales made to Waynflete patrons over the five-day book bash (just be sure to mention the school at check-out).

There is plenty of parking after 5:00 p.m. and on weekends—try the Top of the Old Port lot, Ocean Gateway garage, or any of the side streets off Washington Avenue or India Street.
