Perspective Project welcomes guest speaker Angela Stone

The Perspective Project recently welcomed the first guest speaker of the 2025–26 academic year, Angela Stone of Maine Needs, to campus to speak with students about her experience starting and growing the organization. The conversation was led by the student co-leaders Mariam Hassan ’27 and Virginia Franklin ’26. Maine Needs is a nonprofit organization that connects Maine residents with basic necessities, clothing, household items, and more.

The Perspective Project is a student-run activity that welcomes politicians, civil rights activists, artists, scientists, and other leaders and changemakers to discuss their ideas, experiences, and achievements with students. The goal of the Perspective Project is to use the power of conversation to learn from and celebrate the perspectives, expertise, and experiences within the local and global community.
