Who are you? What matters to you? What do you believe and why? What life experiences and passions do you have? Bring your curiosity to the Summit and create new connections with your peers from across New England and beyond!

Our full-day program for high school students will feature inspiring speakers, student-led workshops, dialogue sessions, and performances designed to build connections within and across communities!

...and our special guest performer: Veeva Banga!

Veeva Banga is a South Sudanese native who's been living in Portland, Maine since 2005. Her dance journey began at the age of 6, participating in traditional Zande dance in the South Sudanese community. She was immersed into dance locally by being selected to join Casco Bay Movers and PATHS while in high school where she studied hip hop, modern, and ballet. After graduation, Veeva returned to her roots and started practicing various forms of African dance. She has been awarded two artist residencies with Indigo Arts Alliance and the Rebel Grant fund for her “Dance For A Nonprofit” work. Veeva is passionate about sharing her cultural dance with others, and her mix of styles in Afro Beats offers a unique approach to dance education and the communal dance experience.
