Robotics and Makers
Morning Robotics: What can you create with Lego Robotics kits, iPads, computers, and a team of kids interested in exploring app design, game building, 3D printing and robotics? Our experienced instructor will help you find your own answer in this camp designed for innovative thinkers.
Afternoon Makers (weeks 6&7): Create your own unique strategy board game or RPG (role-play game). Campers will create new fictional fantasy characters and creatures to inhabit a brand new board game world. Current favorites like Magic the Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons, Star Wars, Pokemon, mythological creatures, and other characters from campers' favorite books and films will provide inspiration for campers to bring to life ideas from their own imagination. This camp program will be a low-tech experience, with emphasis on building, creating and crafting with basic materials such as wood, cardboard, clay, paint, and ModgePodge. We will get our hands dirty while creating a new world from the imagination!
**Week 5 makers will be upcyling bulding materials to create art, music, and inventions. The concept of "makers" will be applied more broadly during this week.
