GPS Soccer/Tennis

This program is offered to K-4 campers as either a morning only GPS soccer camp, or a full day GPS soccer/tennis camp.

Experienced coaches from GPS Portland Phoenix and high school soccer mentors will hit the field with young players of all levels to improve their skills and encourage a love of the game. Players in grades K-4 will be divided into various groups to improve their ball handling, passing, and shooting skills. Young players will gain confidence, quickness, and composure - as they develop an understanding of positions on the field. Scrimmages will take place throughout the week

After a picnic lunch, full-day campers will move over to the tennis courts to learn all aspects of regulation tennis—including equipment, court dimensions, and scoring. Our coaches make learning the game of tennis accessible and fun for young tennis players. We will also make time for summer water fun to beat the heat!

Tennis coach: Back by popular demand, Lisa Ford returns to lead the Flyers tennis camps again this summer! Lisa has been coaching Waynflete middle and high school tennis teams for five years. Throughout the school year, Lisa teaches classes and lessons as an assistant to the tennis pros at Apex Racket and Tennis Club. Lisa enjoys playing tennis year round as often as she can, and she is always happy to share her passion for the game with others.
