Electronic Music Production

In this four-day program, campers will learn to record, create, and edit their sounds from scratch, providing them with a foundation to create electronic music.

Chris Child, Emmy award-winning composer, and electronic musician Kodomo, will share his experience, teaching campers the basic elements of electronic music production: 1) sampling, 2) synthesis (using different wave forms to create sound), 3) arrangement, and 4) production.

Listening to and recording new sounds will heighten musical listening ability, adding depth and originality to musical projects. Producing sounds and music like the pros, with Ableton Live software, a MIDI keyboard, and a groove pad, campers will get a real-life glimpse into how a producer creates in today’s electronic music world. Here is your chance to learn from a professional musician, a special opportunity for our Flyers campers this summer. Limited spaces available. Each camper should bring headphones. The Flyers Camp will provide the other technical equipment. No discounts available for this camp.
