Grades 9/10/11 – Local Service

This group of students will be volunteering with Cultivating Community in Portland for Outdoor Experience. Additionally, the students will have the opportunity to explore Peaks Island on the last day of OE. Since this is not an overnight trip students will come to and go home from school on the regular school schedule.

Please review the information below to ensure your child is prepared for the trip. Please feel free to contact Blake Keogh (oe@waynflete.org) with any questions.

Health

Outdoor Experience health forms are now included in our Magnus Health Portal. Please log in with your Veracross username and password.

Note: This trip does not require a third party medical form in order to participate.

All medication must be given to trip leaders the morning of the trip. The medication must be in its original, labeled container and placed in a ziplock bag with precise instructions for administration.

Please contact our health coordinator if your son/daughter has any new health or dietary concerns since you filled out the health forms.

Gear

Your son/daughter should also bring a lunch (including a water bottle) for each day except for Friday. There will be a BBQ at Ben Mini's house on Peaks Island on Friday. Additionally, please make sure participants wear closed toed, comfortable shoes (there will be a lot of walking), and clothes that can get dirty.
