Grade 12 Trip

The Class of 2018 will be gathering at 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday September 4 on Emery Street.

After traveling to The Forks, Maine, the class will stay together as a group for some light hiking to Moxie Falls, optional swimming and dinner. In the evening, the class will play games, toast s'mores and get a good night's sleep (in cabins with beds & linens provided -- but feel free to bring your own sleeping bag if you want). On Friday, we'll raft down the Kennebeck River, have a BBQ late-luncheon and head back to Portland.

We will return to Thomas House/Waynflete at around 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday September 5. Seniors needing rides can call from the bus with the exact pick-up time.

Students should bring toiletries, a flashlight, sunscreen, bug spray, sneakers/shoes that can get wet, warm clothing to change into after rafting, bathing suit and towel, sandals for around the cabin.

Students should complete two forms ahead of time (many of you turned these in already) -- one of these requires a parent or guardian signature if you are not 18 years old yet. Forms are attached and available on the school website. Wetsuits are free if it is chilly.

Bring the forms to the mandatory OE meeting on Thursday, August 30. Or mail them to Carol Titterton at school (360 Spring St., Portland, ME 04102). Let me know if you cannot attend this meeting for some reason.

Contact Carol TItterton with questions or if you will be unable to attend OE this year.

This is a really fun trip and we hope EVERYONE can attend!!!
