Let award-winning author Mary Morton Cowan introduce your children to one of the greatest engineering feats of the 19th century: laying the transatlantic telegraph cable. Participate in the author's retelling of the story of Cyrus Field and the countless setbacks the famed engineer had to overcome before realizing his dream of connecting two continents.
Come work with circuits to create a telegraph device, do your coding and encoding using Morse Code, and explore the size and scale of this historic project with maps and math.
This event is open to all students ages 7-11.
