Winter 2022 Workshops
Three sessions (fall, winter, and spring) of enrichment weekly workshops provide students in Kindergarten through Grade 8 specialized after school learning opportunities with experienced instructors and passionate teaching artists, musicians, and professionals from the greater Portland area. Workshops offer in-depth exploration into the arts, dance, drama/acting, STEM, electronic music, cooking, athletics, and role-play games (RPG) such as Dungeons & Dragons.
- Registration opens December 3
- Workshops begin the week of January 10
- If a workshop is cancelled due to low enrollment, we will notify registered families by January 5.
- Programs take place on campus, or transportation is provided to/from off-campus locations so that parents can pick up workshop participants at the west end campus.
- For winter 2022, workshops will run in person, consistent with Waynflete’s health and safety protocols. Waynflete workshops are typically open to students from the broader Portland community. This winter we must limit enrollment to Waynflete students due to health and safety concerns. We will open to students from other schools as health protocols allow. We look forward to when we can welcome back more students to join our workshops.
- All students must be registered to attend an enrichment workshop. Full up-front payment for workshops is required prior to attendance.
- Students enrolled in full-time Afterschool receive a 25 percent discount on the price of Enrichment workshops. Use the code “FTAS” at checkout.
- Questions? Suggestions for new workshops? Contact Director of Enrichment Tessa Anable by email or at 207.774.7863 x1379

This year, parent leaders, including former ski patrol member Shawn Brennan, will lead the program. Shawn will be joined by a team of experienced Middle School parent skiers to provide supervision on the bus and mountain.
In this program, we welcome all levels of skiers—the group typically includes novices and experts, and everything in between. The program requires that all participants wear a helmet while skiing/boarding. If you don’t currently own a helmet, you may rent one from Shawnee Peak for $74 for the season.
Lessons: If your child enrolls in skiing or snowboarding lessons, the lessons run for the first five weeks of the program. The lesson groups consist only of Waynflete participants and are led by Shawnee Peak Snow School staff members.
