Strength and Conditioning Coaches

Tim DeMado

Tim has been a personal trainer and performance coach since moving to Maine in 2004. He received his Masters in Physical Education from Springfield College in 2001 and later became a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

His training career began as a Fitness Program Manager for Boston Sports Clubs in Boston, MA. While there, he worked part-time as a strength and conditioning coach at Mike Boyle Strength & Conditioning in Winchester, MA. Upon moving to Maine, Tim worked his way up to become Head Trainer/Fitness Director at the Bay Club in Portland.

In 2012, in partnership with his wife, he started his own fitness business, Triple Jump Fitness on Marginal Way in Portland. He currently serves as the strength and conditioning coach for the Waynflete boys’ basketball team, and has held this position for the past 13 years.

Throughout this time, Tim has worked privately with numerous middle/high school athletes and other teams, including the Waynflete Nordic ski teams and girls’ basketball teams. Most notably, he has prepared two full scholarship Maine athletes, Chris Treister and Julie DiMatteo, for their collegiate playing careers.

Kendra Jarratt

Kendra grew up in Brunswick, Maine and attended Waynflete in eleventh and twelfth grade, graduating in 1991. Growing up, she played many sports including soccer at Waynflete. After a few years away from Maine, she returned to Portland over 20 years ago.

Kendra became a certified personal trainer and nutrition coach through NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) in her early 20's and spent nearly a decade in the field before taking a break from the industry for a corporate job. Eventually, she returned to her true passion and has been working with clients one-on-one and in group settings, coaching both nutrition and fitness. See her website for more information.

Kendra coached Middle School girls soccer at Wayflete in the fall of 2019 and transitioned to teaching Fitness and working with teams on sports-specific strength and conditioning programming. Having the opportunity to work with kids and teach them about the importance of being strong and active has been a fulfilling career move for her.
