Summer Programs

Waynflete Summer Programs is a kids day camp in Portland, Maine where a highly experienced faculty sparks children's summertime adventure. We specialize in soccer, tennis, lacrosse, basketball, and recreation programs, as well as arts, theater, gymnastics, dance, robotics, eco-science, Aikido, language, and pre-school camps for kids ages 3-16.

Mission Statement

Waynflete Summer Programs' mission is to offer engaging summer adventures living in or visiting Southern Maine. Our aim is to encourage exploration in an enviroment that reflects the resources of the Waynflete community and the expertise of a knowledgeable and attentive faculty. As a division of Waynflete School, Waynflete Summer Programs' philosophy and approach are grounded in the School's core beliefs.

Sustainable Ocean Studies

SOS is a partnership with Waynflete School and the Chewonki Foundation. An inspiring and rigorous month-long marine biology summer program, Sustainable Ocean Studies is focused on promoting ocean health and sustainability. Open to rising 10th, 11th, and 12th graders and recent high school graduates. The program is a 24-day residential camp program, where participants both camp and stay in dorm facilities in the University of Maine Darling Marine Center.

Featured Camp - Lacrosse: Grades 4-9

June 17-21

Passionate and accomplished lacrosse coaches, Cathie Connors and Bob Johnson spark love of the game in this week-long program devoted to time on the field and individualized skill-building.
