 | | 1. Student/Parent Visit At Waynflete, we ask all parents and students to visit the School during the application process. Parent interviews and tours, as well as student visits, are required as part of the admission process. Student and parent visits begin in the fall and continue through the spring. Please contact the Admission Office at 207-774-5721, ext. 1224 to schedule a parent or student visit. We request that you submit the Parent Information Form and the $40 application fee prior to or on the day of the student's visit to Waynflete.  We ask that students visiting the Lower School bring a snack for the morning, appropriate clothing for recess (raincoat, snowpants, boots, hats, mittens, etc.), a pair of sneakers for time at Physical Education class, and a silent reading book. Student visitors to the Middle and Upper School should also bring a pair of sneakers and a book. Lunch is provided for students staying for the full day. Please note that students do not have a dress code at Waynflete, and visitors are encouraged to come dressed comfortably for their visiting day. We also encourage you to attend any of our Admissions Events. These are excellent opportunities for you to ask questions and get to know our faculty, students, and programs.  | 2. Admission Application Waynflete's admission application materials are comprised of forms completed by the family and information provided by the candidate's current school and teachers. The Parent Information Form, the family's portion of the application, should be submitted prior to or on the day of the student's visit to Waynflete. All other forms, including recommendation forms, transcript information, a Student Activities form and a Writing Sample form (for applicants to Grades 6-12), should be completed as soon as possible during rolling admission. An application is considered complete after both the family and school portions are on file in the Admission Office. A candidate's application must be complete before his or her file is considered for Admission.  The application form and all accompanying transcripts, recommendations, and other supporting materials should be returned directly to the Admission Office as soon as possible during rolling admission. We accept applications on a rolling admission basis throughout the winter and spring. Second round admission applicants should contact the Admission Office directly for further information.

 3. Financial Aid ApplicationFinancial aid is awarded according to available funding and demonstrated need. Families who have expressed interest in financial aid will submit a Parent's Financial Statement (PFS). The PFS should be completed and filed with the School and Student Service (SSS) for Financial Aid no later than January 10, 2013. Applications for financial aid may still be considered after January 10. Before filing a late financial aid application, please contact Waynflete's Admission Office for a status update and guidance on moving forward. A signed copy of the family's 2011 federal income tax form, including all schedules, should also be submitted to SSS. All 2012 W2-s are also required. Other paperwork, including a copy of the family's 2012 tax return is due by May 1, 2013.
